Application Use
The LTH300 Through Hole Donut/Washer Load Cell is a miniature, low-profile sensor designed for compression applications requiring the load structure to pass through the sensor such as bolt clamping force measurement.
Design
The LTH300's compact dimensions, light weight, and flexible inner diameter enable seamless integration into space-constrained setups without adding significant bulk to the assembly. The custom full bridge strain gauge and unique monolithic gauge design reduce output errors from extraneous/off-axis loads. Its low power consumption makes it ideal for battery-operated applications or setups where minimizing heat generation is crucial.
A durable 17-4 PH stainless steel construction and operational temperature from -60°F to 200°F (-50°C to 93°C) make it ideal for demanding environments. Its low deflection of 0.001 in (0.025 mm) nominal satisfies applications that require a fast dynamic response. The load cell is RoHS compliant and includes a strain relief cable for enhanced protection and signal integrity.

The Low Profile Tension & Compression Load Cell offers a compact design for inline loading applications. With a height of only 1”, the LRF350 is a great selection for tight spaces where compression load cell application is required. The Standard LRF350 Low Profile Tension & Compression Load Cell model has female/female threads, 2024 Aluminum construction (150 - 300 lb) or 17-4 stainless steel (500 – 1,000 lb). It is well suited for high capacity requirements and for any applications that require a lower capacity range, please refer to the LRF300 or LRF325.
With all of its design features the Low Profile Load Cells have a high accuracy with a Nonlinearity of ±0.1%, deflection of 0.0025” to 0.0035” nominal and an operating temperature of -60° F to 200° F. The micro rod end sensor LCM100 is the smallest inline male threaded solution in FUTEK’s catalogue. Measuring just 0.37” (9.5mm) in diameter and 0.17” (4.3mm) in height, this micro diaphragm solution utilizes versatile M3 male thread mounting provisions to provide an ultra fast response in both tension and compression loading with a capacity range of 2.2 - 25lbs (1 to 11kg).
The LCM100 is particularly well suited for inline applications with size constraints, such as surgical robotics, as it adds minimal increase in outer diameter or height to the assembly. The model is offered with two cable types, one is a malleable braided cable that is designed to be stable, the other is a jacketed cable that is designed for flex.
